Optic 6 Generation 4 Out Now!!!

Well, you guys have been waiting for it to drop and it finally has. The Optic 6 Generation 4 is now out and available for purchase. So you might be wondering, what is different is the new 4th generation compared to generation 3? Well, we are about to dive right into what makes these lights different.

This upgrade is definitely the biggest of all the generations with pretty much all parts being updated in the process. So let's start from the outside and work our way in. The body of the Optic 6 gen 4 has been made larger than the older models giving it a wider more even par spread and making cooling the unit a bit easier to do. The lens of the cob LEDs have been upgraded from the 90-degree lenses to the 120-degree lenses giving more even par spread and allowing it to grow a larger area.

Now getting into the electronic side of things, the Optic 6 gen 4 no longer has the electronic automatic timer and has been replaced by the new 2 way dimmer system that controls both the Cob LEDs and the Bloom Enhancer giving you much more control of your par and power output letting you give your plants exactly what they need. Moving on to the LEDs themselves, the Optic 6 cobs have been updated from the CREE XLAMP CXB2540 COB LEDs to the higher quality CREE Xlamp CXB3590 top bin - 3000k & 5000k COBs giving these lights more par and higher efficiency. Also, all of the Bloom Enhancers LEDs have been changed from Bridgelux/Epistar LEDs to the higher quality CREE XPE Deep Red and Royal Blue LEDs and the additional Top Bin Samsung LM301H LEDs giving this light a great full spectrum light for growing Full Spectrum White Light 3500k (Mixed White Light LEDs) + 660nm Deep RED + 450nm Royal Blue + Ultra Violet & Infrared.

Let's delve inside and discuss what has changed inside this new light. The heat sinks inside have been upgraded and now are larger and overbuilt to allow for easier heat dissipation with help from the 6 cooling fans. Also, the drivers that run all these electronics have been upgraded aswell to 2 Meanwell Dimmable Drivers - 570 watts Max Power which is the industry standard. Combining these new high-end efficient LEDs together with top quality dimmable drivers and overbuilt heat sinks allows for a longer life overall.

With all these upgrades the new Optic 6 gen 4 is ready to blow gardeners and the competition away in this 2020 season.
